Here is an updated belly shot!

34 Weeks

Remember 26Weeks.......

And 21 Weeks.......

Painting

We have really been enjoying the house and slowly unpacking.  It is soooo amazing to be living in a house and having so much space.  After moving all of our stuff, I can't even believe we fit all our stuff in that tiny apartment.  We really wanted to paint our little boy's room, and while we were at it we painted our room too!  Jordan couldn't stand the red!  Here are some before and after pics.

A Place to Live......Finallly!

Jordan and I were so thankful to get a phone call saying we could move into the house!.  There are still some kinks they are trying to work out with the purchase, but until then we can RENT the home.  After two weeks of living with our friends, we have finally moved into the house we are trying to purchase.  Here are some pictures of our new home!

No place to call home......yet

It has been quite some time since I have been able to blog.  We've had a lot going on the past couple of months.  We were suppose to close on our house on April 27, unfortunatley we ran into some unexpected bumps and were not able to.  Since we had to be out of our apartment by the the end of April, we were officially homeless.  We are lucky to have so many friends that were willing to help out, because our friends Dave and Lasa ended up housing us for two weeks.  While we were living with Dave and Lasa, our stuff sat packed away at Jordan's work.  Thank you Andy for letting us crowd up the shop for so long.  We had some stuff piled in the corner of the shop......

We also had Leafguard's cube truck full.

While living with Dave and Lasa, I celebrated my 27th birthday.  The four of us went out to dinner, and Lasa surprised me with my favorite...... a fun fetti birthday cake!

Earlier on my birthday, I was also surprised when I had flowers delivered to me at work.  I always give Jordan a hard time asking why he never gives me flowers anymore.  Well, I got my flowers and they were BEAUTIFUL. (Sorry the lighting is bad because my kiddos were napping.)

Overall, it turned out to be a really great birthday.......even though we didn't have the house yet.

Hospital Tour

Today we were able to get a tour of the birthing center at Meriter hospital.  Walking through the halls, and seeing all the equiptment is weird.  It still is such a crazy thought to me that I have something living in my belly!  Even though I feel him moving all the time, it still amazes me that I have the ability to house another being.  As we walked the hallways I kept trying to imagine us there having our baby and what it will be like and it overwhelms me!  Sometimes I feel like it's all just a dream.  I just need to remind myself not to overthink things and to take one day at a time!  On the otherhand leaving the hospital made me just wish he was here and coming home with us.

Anyways, the hospital just remodeled all of their birthing suits. They are very nice.  I just wish we could stay there the whole time, and not have to move to a recovery room 2-3 hours after delivery.  The recovery rooms are fairly decent sized, but the tv is tiny!  Thank goodness we'll have our new bundle of joy to watch instead.  :)

29 Weeks and Counting

A few days ago we had our 28 week appointment.  Around 28 weeks they test you for gestational diabetes.  You go in and drink a solution, wait an hour, and then they draw your blood.  The solution wasn't that bad, I happened to get lemon lime.  The blood drawing on the otherhand was terrible.  I have pretty hard veins when it comes to drawing blood.  They are usually pretty hard to find.  The nurse started with my left arm and of course after moving the needle around couldn't find my vein so she moved to my right arm.  She poked me and the same thing happened.  Then she started to panic because she only had a five minute window total- to draw my blood, and she kept repeating, "Oh my gosh, you weren't kidding about your veins."  This did not make meel feel any better, because I was thinking I was going through this pain for nothing if she couldn't get my blood in time.  Then she moved to the top of my left hand.  As she wriggled the needle around I became very hot, light headed, and actually thought I was going to vomit.  This made her panic even more.  She was yelling for a nurse to come bring cold packs and stopped to quick put my feet up. I never have fainted, but I can say it's the first time I ever thought I was going to pass out! At this point she asked if I wanted to try again a different day or if she should try the top of my right hand.  Of course my reply was, "Just do it!  Quick get it over with!"  Thankfully the fourth time was the charm and she got my blood!  Jordan couldn't even believe how many times they had to prick me!

Thankfully I passed my glucose test, so I don't have to go through this test again.

At this visit they also checked my fundal height for the first time.  They say that your fundal height should match with how many weeks you are.  I measured at 30 and since at the time of my apointment I was 29 1/2 weeks she said we were right on track.

Baby's heartbeat is still nice and strong at around 140 beats per minute.

Baby Shower

We had our first baby shower on April, 14.  It was so great to get back home and see all of our friends and family.  This shower was thrown by my two best friends Shelley and Lisa.  They both had babies last fall.  The shower was wonderful and I can't thank them enough for throwing it.  Here are the three of us with our babies.

I wish I had more pictures to share, but my camera broke a few months ago, so these were the only two pictures I could get my hands on.  Thank you Shelley for tagging me in these photos on facebook.  As soon as I get the pictures downloaded from my mom's camera, I will post more.  Here is the other one of me holding the delicious cake.

Thanks again Shelley and Lisa!  You two are amazing!!!
