Classroom

I started teaching 4 year old Preschool in November of 2011.  I thought it might be nice to share some photos of my classroom.  I am really enjoying my job, and feel very blessed that I found a full time job so quickly.  Especially blessed that I have amazing health insurance with a baby on the way!   :)

I work with one other teacher.  We are currently doing a lot in our classroom to bring in new materials since a lot of stuff has disappeared or been used up over the years.  We both are new to the room, and the room in general had been neglected from past teachers.  I spent six hours one day reorganizing and labeling our storage room.

The center I work at is called Here We Grow Learning Center.  The top floor has childcare from ages birth to three.  The bottom half, where I work, has three preschool classrooms.  We are a privately owned center, but next year we will be working with the Verona Area School District as part of their 4yr old Kindergarten program.  Their district is expanding and they don't have room in their schools for the program.  They have accepted our program and center as-is, since we also follow Creative Curriculum.

Babies, Babies, Babies

Sorry it has been quite awhile since my last post.  When we went to Hudson to visit for Christmas, I forgot my laptop.  Having it back now, I am so ecited to start blogging again!

During our trips home we've spent a lot of time visiting babies.  Three of my closest friends all had babies within a month of eachother.  The first little one we met was Daniel Dix, my friend Lisa's first child.  Daniel was born November 4, 2011.

Next we met baby Joeseph Rude, my friend Shelley's second child.  He was born October 13, 2011.

Then we met little Nora Munoz, my friend Cassie's first child.  She was born November 7, 2011.  I was especially excited to meet her since they live in California.  It's not too often they make it back to Wisconsin.

Meeting all these babies makes me wish our little one was here.  We are getting closer and closer, and are counting down the days until we find out the babies sex!  We finally will find out the sex on March first.

The Good News

About a month ago, Jordan and I were blessed with some very special news.  WE ARE GOING TO BE PARENTS !!!!!  We had our first visit at the doctor's office a couple of weeks ago.  They gave us a due date of July 2, and confirmed that so far everything was looking good!  Here is a picture of our little wee one.

So far I have been experiencing a lot of nausea and I am exhausted by the time I get home from work.  Jordan has been such a wonderful husband by having dinner ready when I come home from work, and really going out of his way to make sure I'm comfortable.

Our next appointment is Dec.19th.

O Christmas Tree

As a kid, I remember going out to the country as a family to cut down our Christmas tree.  As we got older, we started buying a Christmas tree from a pre-cut lot.  I really enjoyed the adventures of going out and finding the perfect tree to cut down in the chilly snow.  We decided that this would be a neat tradition for us to start as a family. So, this past weekend we went to a tree farm!

Here is Jordan crutchin' along to pick out our tree.  What a trooper!

After searching the whole area, we finally found a tree for our apartment.

Jordan cut the tree down................

and his brother Tyler came to help with the heavy lifting/carrying of the tree.  What a sweet brother.   :)

The tree farm was quite muddy, and left our white car a mess!  It was fun spinning in the mud though.  We had lots of people watching us try to get out!

During the Packer game, I decorated the tree while the boys...................

slept.  Here is our very first Christmas tree!  I have never decorated all by myself, so I was pretty excited!

Surprise Surprise

Last Thursday, my husband ended up with these..........

I received a call from Jordan saying that he had to go to the hospital.  Why?  He fell off a roof........AGAIN.  Don't worry, he is doing well.  The doctor was very surprised that his ankle wasn't broken, just a bad sprain.  Jordan wouldn't let me post a picture of his swollen ankle.  I think he is a bit embarrassed.  I am just happy he didn't do any major damage, and I can't wait for them to start using harnesses next year!!!!

Tire Trouble

So I woke up Tuesday morning to this.......

Flat tire.  Of course Jordan wasn't home, but that was just fine with me!  I have a history of getting flat tires so I knew exactly what to do.  I found the spare tire and jack.  Loosened the lug nuts, jacked the tire up, and then the maitenence man came to save the day.  Well, he thought so at least.  I didn't tell him that I knew what I was doing.  I just thanked him for being such a caring maitenence man.  Not gonna lie, I was kinda sad that I didn't get to finish it. :(

Happy Halloween!

This year for Halloween we decided it would be funny to dress the dogs up.  It was pretty entertaining for us, and our neighbors had some good laughs too.  When we were searching for cheap dog costumes, I saw a cheerleader costume and had to get it since I was a cheerleader.  It was a little too big on Lucy, but nothing a hair tie couldn't fix.

Don't you just love the pom poms?  Those were my favorite part.  Rowdy kept chasing Lucy around because he thought the pom poms were fun to chew on.   That being said, Lucy only stayed in her costume for about an hour.  On the other hand, Rowdy LOVED his costume so much he stayed in it all night!  After the trick or treaters stopped showing up, he just curled up in his pirate costume and went to bed.

I had to put this one in.  I love his eyes!

Both of the dogs really liked waiting at the door for our guests.

After all of the excitement, I made a pork roast.  I've never made a roast before and I have to say I did a great job!

Ha ha....I did cheat though and bought a pre-made one. I just had to throw it in the oven. It was very delicious though!
