Graduating to the Big Boy Crib

It's hard to believe that our little guy was so tiny in his bassinet at one time.  Here is a picture we took Leyton's first week home.  That blanket actually makes him look a lot bigger than he really was.  If you look at the rectangle on the side of the bassinet, he pretty much was the same size.  His feet just stretched a tiny bit past.

When he raises his arms now, his hands touch the top and his feet touch the bottom.  This means it's time for the big boy crib.  The only problem is that I wasn't ready for Leyton to leave our bedroom and be in his own room.  I want him in his crib, but I just wasnt ready for him to be a room apart.  I wanted to set up the pack and play for another 3 months, and then move him into his own bedroom when he was a bit older.

Jordan thought I was being silly, but he knew how bad I wanted Leyton in our room still so he surprised me when I came home from work one night.  This is what I found.

Jordan had taken apart the crib, and re-put it back together in our bedroom.  Now Leyton can get used to his big boy bed, and I will still get the comfort of him being next to me.  It was a wonderful surprise!
