Farewell Grandpa Lee

We headed up north Fiday morning for a nice relaxing Labor Day weekend at the cabin.  The stove has been having gas issues for years so we were unable to use it.  How do you make ravioli without a stovetop?  You make it on the fire!

While we were making dinner, I received an upsetting call about my grandpa Lee.  He had been admitted to the hospital for a behavioral evaluation due to his dimentia.  While hewas there they took him off all of his meds and put him on new ones.  The new medications made him drowsy and he aspirated while eating.  This lead to pnemonia, and the doctors said he wouldn't make it.  We cut our cabin trip short and headed to Hudson to say our goodbyes.

That Wednesday, my grandpa Lee passed away.  He was a wonderful grandpa and great grandpa and will truly be missed.  We are just so happy that he was able to meet little Leyton Lee (his middle name after his great grandpa Lee), and knowing that he is with God now.

I love you Grandpa!
