Lisa/Shelley Visit

One of my good friends came to visit this past weekend to meet Leyton.  While her family was down we took them to State Street.  We had told her about this pizza place( Ian's Pizza) where they have crazy toppings- macaroni and cheese, cheesy potatoe, BBQ with chicken and ranch (my favorite) chicken alfredo etc- so she wanted to try it out.

Here is a macaroni and cheese pizza and a lasagna pizza that I on found online.  These are examples that you could order from Ian's Pizza.  Best pizza ever!  My first time ordering there I asked for a slice of cheese.  They laughed at me because they don't make plain pizza like that.

Aftfer dinner, we continued our walk down State Street going into shops.  We walked all the way to the end and decided to get family pictures at the capitol.

The next day our other good friend, Shelley, came down for the day with her family to meet Leyton.

Her daughter Amelia loves playing with our dogs.  Here she is piling shoes in front of the dog gate.  Don't exactly know why, but it was funny.  Later we found that she had thrown all the shoes to the bottom of the steps.  She kept us entertained :)

We had a really great time seeing our good friends!  It is so nice that they are willing to make the long haul down here to visit.  Come again any time- we love having you!

Day Trip to Woodville/Hudson

At 2:00pm on Saturday, Jordan decided that we needed to make a quick trip home.  He said he wanted to be spontaneous and that it would be fun.  I did not think it would be fun to pack up a three week old and travel 3 1/2 hrs when it as already so late in the day.......but we did it.  We arrived at Jordan's parents house around 8pm and had a bon fire.

The next day, since we were home I really wanted to take Leyton to Hudson to meet his Great Grandpa Lee!  Leyton did meet his great grandpa, but unfortunately he was really tired.  We kept him awake long enough to get a few pictures though!

Later that afternoon my friend Cassie came over to meet Leyton.  She happened to be home from California, which was the main reason why I decided it would be ok to make a day trip home.

Here is Cassie and I with our children.  Her daughter Nora is about 7 months old.

After Cassie and her family left, we packed up and headed home to Sotughton.  Like I said, it was a real quick trip home!  Hopefully next time will be longer and we can see more people!

More Firsts!

My mom came to town the past couple days.  Leyton had some more firsts!  We took him shopping at Khols.  Since Khols has weird carts.....we weren't sure if his car seat would fit on one.  I had a sling that a friend made for me in the car so we decided it was a good time to try it out.

It worked really well, and Leyton seemed to be comfortable in it.  He slept the whole time!  After some shopping my mom and I decided to get some lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings.  This was Leyton's first time at a restaurant.

He did very well!  He slept the whole time, making lunch very easy!  I was kind of nervous, not knowing if he was going to cry or get hungry during lunch.  It worked out well.

We had a lot fo fun having Grandma Laura visit.  She cooked us lasagna, corn beef cassarole, and made banana chocolate chip bread for us.  Thanks Grandma!  Come again soon!

Leyton asleep on Uncle Tyler.  Again I love his face!!! He makes so many different faces and expressions!  I wish I could capture them all.

Uncle Paul's Visit and the Fair!

This past weekend, my brother Paul came to meet Leyton with his girlfriend Laura.

While they were in town, Stoughton's fair was in town as well.  It had been super hot all week, so we were excited when it got in the 70's Saturday night so we could take Leyton down to his first fair.  Here is Leyton when we first got there!  I love his expression (ha ha)!

Stoughton's fair was actually a lot biggerr than we expected.  Besides the rides and food they had a race track with races going on.  They also had animals!  Leyton saw goats, sheep, a pony, and pigs!

We even had a fun family photo!

We had a lot of fun at the fair, and enjoyed having Paul and Laura visit.

Happy 4th of July

Jordan, Leyton and I had a pretty relaxing 4th.  We sat around all day relaxing and watching movies.  We thought Stoughton's fireworks were cancelled because we haven't had rain in forever.  To our surprise that night we heard fireworks so we went outside and sure enough they were firing them off.  We walked to the end of our street, and watched Stoughton's fireworks for the first time.  We didn't have the best view (trees in the way) but it was still fun.  Leyton slept through them, so hopefully next year when we go as a family the loud noises won't scare him.

Here is Leyton in his 4th outfit.  This was actually given to us from my friend Brandy.  It was her son's (who is now 7).

We hope everyone had a fun and safe Fourth of July!
